Additional Ways to Practice this Habit

★ BIBLE FOR YOUR EARS: Download one of the following Bible Apps to listen to Scripture while you're driving or exercising:

- YouVersion Bible App

- Bible Gateway Bible Audio App

- Streetlights Bible (The Bible spoken over hip-hop beats)

★ PRAYERFUL FOCUS: Before you start your daily reading, ask God to highlight a word or phrase that captures your attention. Use that as a focus for prayer throughout your day, letting it guide your thoughts and conversations with God.

★ ★ MARINATE: Set a 15 min timer. Use the following questions to meditate on Scripture: What words or phrases stood out? What did you hear/feel? How does this passage influence your daily life?

- Optional Passages: Luke 5:18–25 // 2 Timothy 2:1–5 // Ephesians 1:4–14 // Matthew 25:31–46 // Matthew 7:24-27 // Matthew 13:3-9 & 18-23 // Matthew 16:13-17

★ ★ TRY THE S.O.A.P. METHOD: Start with Matthew 16:13-17. 1) Read the SCRIPTURE. 2) Make OBSERVATIONS about what you see. 3) Ask how it APPLIES to your life. 4) PRAY about what you’ve learned. Feel free to try it again and again with the passages in the practice above.

★ ★ ★ SCRIPTURE JOURNAL: Keep a journal to go along with your daily Bible Reading. Make a note of key verses, observations, and personal reflections to create a habit of intentional engagement. You can even write down any questions that come up so you can send them to Pastor Jeremy and see what he thinks.
